Life

Repent and Believe

Andrew invited.

You asked me to begin again,
release the grip on my nets.
You paid no attention to my warning
and only called me to greater heights.
The boat drifted behind me.

Three years in Your holy presence
and only three times for me to protest it.
Judas’ feet hang inches off the ground,
and I wonder if you hear my cry?

My feet can’t carry me fast enough
but from your absence bears astonishment.
What if it’s all true?
There is always a glorious resurrection.

I will proclaim it again and again,
because You said Yourself,
“repent and believe in the Gospel.”
